la mesa donde comemos / the table where we eat

Hoy me topé con esta mesa por ahí, me dio risa. Tal despliegue de madera sólo para no tener que hablar con el que está al frente. Por supuesto que es un mueble que quiere ser una declaración, una expresión de sentimientos, supongo que no va a ser un hit de ventas.

Today I came across this table, it made me giggle. That amount of wood work just to avoid talking to the one in front of you. Of course it's meant to be a statement, a way to show feelings, I hope it'sn not going to be a sales success.

Ésta, por el contrario, grafica más la idea de cómo me gustan las mesas: con interacción. Si el otro se va, se acaba la comida! Y comer solo es una lata, es más, acá es imposible.

This one, on the other side, shows my idea of table: If the other one goes away, dinner is over! And eating alone is so boring, even worse, here is impossible.

Hay un dicho muy sabio que dice: "Familia que come unida, permanece unida" Es la pura verdad y corre también para los matrimonios, los amigos, los hermanos y hasta los compañeros de trabajo. Esa comida sentados juntos, comentando el día, con la mesa puesta con cariño, comida rica para todos, es uno de los mejores momentos que existe. Podemos dar nuestra opinión, contar nuestras cosas, incluso pelear, todo hace que nos conozcamos y queramos más. Una de las buenas medidas en una casa es comer siempre juntos. Chao las bandejas en la pieza o en la televisión!! Nosotros además hacemos el viernes una comida especial y comemos largo comentando la semana. ¿Han hecho la prueba?
There is a wise saying: "Family who eats together, stays together" Nothing but the truth and is good as well for marriages, friendships, brotherhood and even co-workers. That meal gathered around the table, telling the day, places set with love and care, nice food for everyone, is one of the best moments ever. We can share opinions, tell our things, even fight, those things makes us know and love each other more. One of the best things to do in a home is to eat always together. Good bye trays in the room or in front of the tv!! We also do on fridays a nice special dinner and we eat long enough to comment the week. Have you give this a try?
