"Anduve dando muchas vueltas tratando de encontrar mi rincón preferido. Elegí mi taller, que está a un lado de la casa, porque fue un espacio que hicimos especialmente para que pudiera pintar cómoda. Por esta ventana puedo ver lo que hacen las niñitas en la casa mientras trabajo, esa era la idea, pero en verdad ellas me vigilan más a mí! De hecho trato de mirar poco, porque siempre uno se encuentra con un par de ojitos mirando, que entonces sienten que pueden entrar a conversar, jaja! 

   Antes tenía un montón de botellas antiguas de vidrio, que me gusta juntar, pero estas fueron las que me quedaron después del terremoto, las otras se tiraron de cabeza desde las repisas. 

   A un lado tengo un lavatorio para limpiar los pinceles, que quedó como en un altar, el maestro que nos hizo el mueble tenía que hacer cajones y repisa junto con él, se gastó todos los materiales haciendo esta instalación, quedó divertido. En la pared está lo que me inspira, artículos, recortes, fotos, como una que me regaló un amigo de la familia, impresa en papel cromado. También hay trabajos lindos de mis niñitas en exhibición. Sobre la mesa una pecera con los tubos vacíos de óleo, para hacer algo con ellos, y un libro que es continua referencia: 110 Modern Museum of Fort Worth.

   Al fondo hay unas puertas de demolición, que son preciosas, les hicimos el taller a medida, quedó de tres metros, cosa que fue buena al final, porque puedo hacer cuadros bien grandes. Ma siento cómoda acá."

   "I was spinning around trying to find my favorite corner. I chose my atelier, which is beside my house, because it is a custom made space for me to paint. From this window I can see what the girls are doing at home while I work, or that was the idea, but what really happens is that they watch me! In fact I try not to look much outside, because you always find a pair of little eyes staring, and when that happens they feel like coming in to chat, haha!

   I used to have a lot of antique glass bottles, I like collecting them. This are the survivors from the last earthquake, the others jumped head down from the shelves.

  Over one side I have a little sink to wash my brushes, it turned out to be like an altar, the handyman was suposed to make some shelves and boxes and put it over, but instead he used all supplies doing this installation, it's kind of fun. Sticked at the wall are things that inspire me, articles, scraps, photos, like the one a family friend gave me, printed over a chromed sheet. There is some whimsical artwork made by my girls too. Over the table a fish bowl with used paint tubes, I'll make something with them, and a book I always go to: 110 Modern Museum of Fort Worth. 

   At the end of the room we have some antique doors, they are beautiful, and we made this space so they could fit in, it ended up being 3mts / 10 ft tall, at the end it was the best thing to do, I can paint really large canvases here. I feel comfortable in here."
