Acá todavía hacen las cajas de huevo de plumavit! Vamos un poco más adelante en conciencia en Chile en este envase por lo menos. Pensando en qué podíamos hacer con él para no botarlo, me acordé de que cuando chica hacía máquinas de escribir. Ante la pregunta " Mamá, qué es una máquina de escribir?", lo adaptamos al siglo XXI con un estupendo mouse. Acá les va cómo hacer un computador con una caja de huevos!! --->

They still make egg cartons out of styrofoam here! We are a little ahead in Chile, we make them from paper. Thinking what we could do with it before throwing it away, I remembered I used to make typewriters when I was little. When I heard the question: "Mom, what is a typewriter?" I knew we had to make them into the XXIst century with an awesome mouse. Here how to make an egg carton computer!! --->

Materiales / You will need

1 caja de 12 huevos / a docen egg carton

tijeras / scissors

lápices a cera o plumones / crayons or sharpies

cinta adhesiva / adhesive tape

1 hoja blanca / white sheet

1.- Cortamos una ranura para después poner el papel blanco. Tiene que ser por la unión entre la tapa y la base, pero sin separarlos! / We cut a slot to slide white paper through it. It must be at the junction between the lid and base of the carton, but be careful not to split it!

2.- Escribe tus letras sobre los botones / write your letters on the buttons.

3.- Usa un papel doblado o una lana para hacer el cordón del mouse, pégalo al lado de las teclas. / Use a folded paper or a piece of whool to make the mouse cord, stick it to the side of the keyboard.

4.- hazte un mouse con sobras de papel y cinta adhesiva, y pégalo al cordón. / make yourself a mouse out of paper drafts and tape, and stick it to the cord.

5.- dibuja algo en la pantalla, desliza el papel por la ranura y empieza a jugar!! Sirve también para jugar a la tienda, a los científicos y a muchas cosas más!! / draw something on your screen and pass it through the slot, then start to play!! You can use it to play groceries', or scientist too!!
