Yesterday we were talking about how amazing is the world we are living in, full of incredible advances in many areas of knowledge and how our children are global citizens since they were born used to watch what ever they want to discover through this window that brings it in our home, the computer. But on the other hand nothing seems to impress them anymore and they want things to be fast and without much effort. How can we amaze them and show them the wonders that can be reached using the incredible capabilities they have with patience and perseverance? Those are goals that they don't have naturally these days. And then I was introduced to this amazing website, TED.com, full of talks and lectures in different languages, by people who are at the forefront of their areas, (as physics, biology, public politics, philosophy, astronomy, robotics, etc ....) that explain to a hearing in simple words the idea that they have developed or are working in. It's fascinating! It makes us feel proud of humanity and also makes us want to go immediately to see what we can do. Totally addictive.

   Check it out with your kids or nephews, find the topics that interest them, look also for the kind of inspiration you want (creativity, joy, achievement) and be amazed by the rhythm at which humanity grows with all the opportunities that the world gives us! Even if they are little, there are several which they can understand and can make them excited.
