Hi-tech monday: edición de fotos excelente y gratis / excellent and free photo editing
A veces el editor de fotos que viene con nuestro sistema operativo nos queda chico. Queremos darle un efecto especial, o añadir transparencias, recortar por los contornos, cambiar un color... Pero tampoco es que tengamos Photoshop. ¿Qué hacer? Hay dos alternativas gratis para usar y de buenísima calidad.
Sometimes the photo editor that comes with our operative system outgrown us. We want to give photos a special effect, or add transparency, trim around the edges, a color change ... But it's not like we have Photoshop. What to do? There are two free alternatives to use and of a very good quality.
La primera es un software que podemos descargar gratis. Se ha desarrollado a través de los años, ya existía cuando éramos chicos y miles de personas han contribuído para que sea tam completo como es hoy. Se llama GIMP y es un programa que permite hacer todo lo que hace Photoshop. Hay muchos tutoriales que podemos encontrar fácilmente en un buscador y que nos explican paso a paso cómo hacer lo que queremos.
The first one is a software that you can download for free. It has developed over the years, already existed when we were kids and thousands of people have also contributed to make it as complete as it is today. It's called GIMP and it's a software that allows us to do everything that Photoshop does. There are many tutorials that can be found easily in a search engine, and explain step by step how to do what we want.

La segunda alternativa es un editor en línea, una página web a la que podemos acceder desde cualquier computador y nos permite editar nuestras fotos desde un archivo, una dirección web o crear una imagen nueva. Tiene muchísimas funciones y es fácil de usar. Usa el mismo sistema en capas que Photoshop. Muy útil cuando uno no está en su casa, para arreglos rápidos y cuando no tenemos mucho espacio en la memoria. Funciona en aparatos móviles con android e IOS, incluso hay aplicaciones disponibles, buenísimo! Se llama Pixlr.
The second alternative is an online editor, a website which we can access from any computer and allows us to edit our photos from a file, a web address or create a new image. It has many functions and is easy to use. It uses the same layered system than Photoshop. Very useful when you're not at home, need a quick fix or don't have much space left in your disk. It runs on mobile devices with android and IOS, there even are apps available, grat! It's called Pixlr.
