La feria CES de Tecnología en Las Vegas trajo muchas novedades este año: accesorios para transformar las consolas de juegos en generadoras de historias, materialidades nuevas para las pantallas, mucha realidad aumentada virtual, relojes por los que podemos hablar por teléfono, etc... La gracia es que son productos ya desarrollados que van a alcanzar el mercado dentro de este año o en el corto plazo. Hay varios que lograron ver la luz gracias al exitoso modelo de Kickstarter, juntando capital hasta sumas increíbles, por el sólo hecho de tener una idea realmente buena. Siempre asombran algunos proyectos que se ven realmente como un paso hacia el futuro, que nos hacen imaginar en qué vamos a estar cuando seamos viejos o qué maravillas serán las que van a ver nuestros hijos. Eso me pasó con el reloj Pebble o con la cantidad de dispositivos que usan sensores y realidad aumentada para jugar o entrenarse en algo. Pero hubo una cosa más simple y entretenida que llamó la atención, probablemente va a llegar por estos lados en el invierno: el Light Marker de Crayola y Griffin, un lápiz que funciona con la cámara del Ipad y una aplicación gratis, que permite a los niños dibujar a distancia con todas las alternativas de la línea de lápices de Crayola, también jugar y hacer puzles, así lo pueden usar sobre una mesa, sin peligro de rayones ni caídas, en una primera experiencia con realidad virtual.
