Estos últimos días hemos visto aparecer noticias bien asombrosas e increíbles de distintas partes del mundo, misterio incluido. En cada una de ellas hay cientos de personas iguales a uno involucradas, que están viviendo esas realidades que vemos desde la distancia. Quizás ésta que les voy a comentar es una de las que pasó más desapercibida, no le robó muchos segundos de noticiario acá a la política o al fútbol, pero es de esas que cambian la historia. 

   These last days we've seen appearing amazing and incredible news from around the world, including a mystery. In each one of them there are hundreds of people involved that are just like us, they are living those realities that we see from a distance. Perhaps this one that I will discuss with you is one that went more unnoticed, it didn't steal many seconds to politics or football in the news here, but is one of those that change history.

  La física me ha fascinado desde siempre, ya les he contado. Si sólo mi mente no se obnubilara tan fácil con las ecuaciones, me habría subido a ese buque. Esa ciencia tiene tanto de números como de creatividad, va de la mano con la filosofía para tratar de explicar y hacer sentido del movimiento y la existencia de algo tan grande como el universo hasta las hormigas. Es un poco como describir lo que nos rodea siendo ciego! Y hay personas que dedican su vida a eso, sus teorías forman nuevos paradigmas y ayudan a que la humanidad se desarrolle de forma cada vez más óptima con su entorno, porque todo lo que hacemos se relaciona con la física. Sus aportes pueden ayudar a dar enormes pasos.

   Physics has always fascinated me, as I 've told you before. If only my mind didn't get so easily choked with equations, I would have gotten on that ship. That science has both numbers and creativity, goes hand in hand with philosophy to try to explain and make sense of movement and the existence of something as big as the universe to the ants. It's a bit like describing what surrounds us being blind! And there are people who devote their lives to it, their theories are new paradigms and help mankind develop in an increasingly optimal way to its environment, because everything we do is related to physics. Their contributions can help make enormous strides

   Y esta semana un telescopio en la Antártida captó una onda, una oscilación en un rincón del universo, la midieron y lo supieron: esa onda gravitacional es la confirmación de todo. Es la huella digital del Big Bang y su inflación o expansión cósmica, la marca de que la Teoría de la Relatividad es real y de que con su movimiento caótico tenemos la potencia de múltiples universos, donde pueden (pudieron, podrán?) realizarse todas las posibilidades también. Todo esto abre las puertas a un nuevo capítulo de investigaciones, sobre una base ahora real. ¿Suena a locura? Esto es la física, no es ciencia ficción, es mejor, porque es de verdad!

   And this week a telescope in Antarctica caught a wave, an oscillation in a corner of the universe, they measured it and they knew: the gravitational wave is to confirm everything. Is the fingerprint of Big Bang and its inflation or cosmic expansion, the mark showing that the Theory of Relativity is real and that its chaotic movement has the power of multiple universes, where every possibility can (could, may?) be performed. This opens the door to a new chapter of research, on a real basis now. Does that sound crazy? This is physics, is not science fiction, it is better, because it's real!

   Algunos de los principales científicos que elaboraron estas teorías, junto con sus ayudantes, han tenido la suerte de ver cómo el trabajo de su vida ha sido validado. Uno de ellos es Andrei Linde, profesor de Stanford, y con esta emoción es como recibió la noticia un día cualquiera en su casa:

   ¿No les conmueve ver cómo hay algunos llamados a hacer cosas grandes? A mí me emocionó mucho y me hace querer más a la humanidad! Y este descubrimiento es como un mar de ideas fantásticas para pensar y meditar de cara a la vida, al conocimiento, a la familia y a la fe.
